Family Addiction Counselling for Zimbabweans
Support for the people who love someone with an addiction, online or in Cape Town.
Addiction affects the whole family. Parents, partners and children often live with fear, anger, guilt and exhaustion for years, usually without support of their own.
Our family programme gives Zimbabwean families a place to understand addiction, be honest about what they have been through, and learn how to support recovery without losing themselves.
- Online sessions for relatives in Zimbabwe
- Understanding addiction as an illness
- Setting healthy boundaries
- Rebuilding trust and communication
- Preparing for your loved one's return
- Support for relatives, whatever the outcome
Why families need their own support
Families often adapt around addiction without realising it: covering up, taking over responsibilities or walking on eggshells. Counselling helps you see these patterns and choose what to change.
How the family programme works
While a loved one is in treatment, relatives join structured sessions with our therapists. Joint sessions are arranged when the timing is right.
Before treatment
If your loved one is not yet in treatment, we can still talk with you about next steps, an assessment or an intervention.
